Returns & Exchanges
A thoughtful approach to returns
At Anthro Apothecary, everything we carry is carefully chosen—often small-batch, personal, and meant to be experienced.
Because of that, our return policy is designed to balance fairness, safety, and care—for you and for every customer who shops with us.
Returns within 90 days
We accept returns within 90 days of purchase (or delivery) with a valid receipt or proof of purchase.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging
- Items must be in the same condition you received them
Items that cannot be returned
Because many of our products are personal or consumable, we are unable to accept returns based on preference once opened.
Due to health, safety, and product integrity, we are unable to accept returns on:
- Consumable products (teas, food items, beverages, supplements)
- Skincare and personal care items (lotions, oils, soaps, etc.)
- Bath & body products
- Perishable goods (including plants or fresh items)
- Custom or special-order products
- Sale items and gift cards
If you’re unsure about a product before purchasing, we’re always happy to help guide you.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect items
Please inspect your order when it arrives.
If something isn’t right—whether it’s damaged, defective, or incorrect—contact us right away at:

We’ll make it right with a replacement or refund, depending on the situation.
While risk of loss transfers to the customer once the carrier receives the package, we will always do our best to assist in resolving lost or damaged shipments.
Order changes & cancellations
We begin preparing orders quickly so they can get to you as soon as possible.
Because of this, once an order has been processed, we may not be able to cancel it.
If that happens, you’re always welcome to request a return in accordance with this policy.
How to start a return

If your return is approved:
- We’ll provide instructions for sending your item back
- Returns must be approved before being sent
- Items sent without prior approval may not be accepted
- Customer provides return shipping

Exchanges
The simplest way to exchange an item is to:
- Request a return for your original item
- Place a new order for the item you’d prefer
This ensures you receive your new item as quickly as possible.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you of the outcome.
If approved:
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method
- Please allow up to 10 business days for processing
- Your bank or card provider may take additional time to post the refund
If it has been more than 15 business days since approval, feel free to reach out.
